CRECER - How Do I ?

Apply For a Computer?

CRECER makes awards of computers for charitable, educational and religious purposes. We have a special interest in rural and low-income projects in the general vicinity of San Antonio, Texas.

CRECER can not furnish shipping and transportation of equipment being awarded. If you are requesting equipment for a location not in the vicinity of San Antonio, Texas, please indicate to us how you will arrange equipment transportation.

If you qualify, tell us what you want the computer to do, the minimum you can accept, how you will solve problems with the machine, whether you will help us with the curriculum and evaluation, and send it to us at the address below, or complete and submit this simple form.

Donate a Computer or System?

Currently, we are accepting only 486, or better, working systems. We will still accept working components as follow: IDE hard drives, VGA color monitors, printers, PS2 keyboards and "mouses", CDROM drives, 28800 modems. Donors drop off their equipment on Saturday morning work days held at our workshop. We are there between 9am and noon. We are currently in St. Martin de Porres, 1730 Dahlgreen Ave. Click here to see the current location map. If this is not convenient for you, please contact Luis Orozco, Jr.or Gene Rodriguez to make arrangements. You may call Luis (210) 675-1810.

Or submit this simple form.

Volunteer My Time?

CRECER volunteers work in a variety of ways. Some work from home answering phones or entering data. Beginners and the more group-loving among us volunteer on work days .

Production oriented volunteers work on a production day to move out computers that are donated.

Call or write Cathy Barnes for more information about getting started (697-0389).

Mac and Apple computers are placed as needed. Often these go to special needs students.
