STARTING PLACES

Here are some links I found in my exploration that may be useful. In order to understand where we are going, we need to understand where we've been. Kristina Ross's History of Communication Media Technologies is a wonderful place to start. For some theoretical background try the Memetics Page and the Principia Cybernetica Web which will stretch your mind a little. For a political education and to find out what's happening visit the Electronic Frontier Foundation which has always been in the vanguard of dealing with issues affecting the web and society.
