In the past two years the availability of IP network connectivity in San Antonio has grown drastically. There are numerous commercial providers of leased line, ISDN, and dial-up services and most institutions of higher education are now on-line.

However, while competition is good for prices, it does not lead to either a logical or efficient infrastructure. The documents found here will explore why this is so and what might be done to improve the situation.
