    		• The Knowing Home Collaboration is an appreciation of the history, environment, and cultures of South Central Texas. Partners in the Knowing Home Collaborative include the Public Studio of the San Antonio Chapter of the American Institute of Architects; KLRN-TV; SalsaNet; Project Bridge; Mission Espada Neighborhood Project and Texas Through Time.

    The peaceCENTER suspects that knowing more about the places where we live will help us make peace in this place and this time. Our first project is to learn more about the neighborhood where the peaceCENTER is located, Irish Flats. For now, there is a brief (and hastily written) history of the area on the website. In the near future, we intend to delve deeper into the archives, collect oral histories from people who remember the area's history and digitize images from personal collections for display on this site.
