tree labyrinth The labyrinth is amazing, but not a maze: is has no blind alleys where one can get lost. The labyrinth has many designs, though only one path that goes into its center, which one walks going into and out of the labyrinth. It is an ancient tool for centering and contemplation which has been found on stones, in caves, and buildings around the world.

There is no single way to use the labyrinth, and it is enjoying a revival in modern times as a way to quiet the mind by quieting the body as it concentrates on the simple path into the center and back out. It is being introduced even in prisons, painted on the recreation yard ground.
